The websites McFly Portugal and McFly Addiction have created this project, dedicated exclusively to promote McFly, gather their fans and take the band to Portugal to play in Rock in Rio Lisbon 2010.
The project Everybody Wants McFly at Rock In Rio Lisboa 2010! is a partnership between the Portuguese site McFly Portugal and the Brazilian site McFly Addiction, that aims to bring McFly to the music festival Rock In Rio Lisbon, that will take place in 2010.

The idea was suggested by the Portuguese musician Francisco Salgado, who contacted both McFly Addiction and McFly Portugal. The main goal of the project isn’t only getting McFly to play in Portugal, but also promot the band and bond the fans from both countries.

The project is open to everyone who wants to join us and help us reach our goal. Apart from the Portuguese and Brazilian fans, people from other countries must feel free to participate and give their contribute.

In order to help us out, you can sign our petition on Twittion, spread the word by using our banners and flyers and don't forget to follow us on Twitter @mcflyRiRlisboa to know all the informations, talk with us about new ideas, etc. All your help and support will be much appreciated.

26 Feb 2010 - McFly at Rock in Rio Lisboa 2010: CONFIRMED


Like we already announced on the website, Rock in Rio Lisboa confirmed officially the presence of McFly on May 29th. After all our requests, the signatures on the twitition and the confirmation of the band at Rock in Rio Madrid (where they will be performing on June 6th), we finally have the confirmation that McFly will perform on the day dedicated to the family, when Miley Cyrus and D'ZRT are also performing and another artist yet to confirm.

In name of all the Portuguese fans, thank you so much to all of you that help us make this dream come true, with a special thank you to the Brazilian fans. Nothing of this would be possible without McFly Addiction support, with who we developed this project.

When we have more information we'll post at the website. Until then, the promotion continues, now knowing that it was our efforts that made this dream come true. We'll be seeing you on May 29th...

Ready for the first mission? Here it goes...

Like some of you might know, Rock in Rio Lisboa also has an account on Twitter. So we think it's a good idea that everyone send a tweet to them, so that way the production will know our desire and think about the possibility of including the band on one of the days of the event.

So if you are a McFly fan and you want them to come to Rock in Rio Lisboa 2010, follow @rockinriolisboa and send a tweet saying how much you would like to see McFly perform on the RiR stage. Send only one tweet, don't spam =)

Hey guys,
We are very happy that you liked the project and thanks to everyone who's helping, the Portuguese fans will be forever grateful!

About the "Support", if you really support this project you already know that all it takes is you to pick one of the images that are on the sidebar on the left of this page and post it on one of your sidebars of you site or blog. I repeat, you have to put it on your sidebar so that way we do the same. You can see the example on this blog: wonderland-m.blogspot.com

Another thing that I would like to say to you is that we changed our email to rockinriolisboa@mcflyportugal.com, but if you sent an email to the old one don't worry, I will reply to you today!

Rock In Rio LisboaRock in Rio is a music festival created by the Brazilian businessmanRoberto Medina, and its first edition took place in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) – that’s where the name of the event comes from - back in 1985.

The word about this festival quickly spread all over the world and, in 2004, it had its first international edition in Lisbon, Portugal. Roberto Medina has already confirmed that Rock in Rio Lisbon has come to stay –proving so, the festival will return to the Portuguese capital in 2010.

Throughout the years, Rock in Rio has had seven editions, three in Brazil, three in Portugal and one in Spain. In 2008, it took place in two different places at the same time, Lisbon and Madrid, and Medina is aiming a simultaneous edition in three different continents.
